About the CPS Auxiliary Unit: The unit consists of 20 members from diverse backgrounds, working alongside sworn officers and special constables to serve Cobourg residents and visitors. The primary responsibility is running crime prevention initiatives.

    Duties:

    • Lock it or Lose it
    • Car Seat Clinics
    • CPTED audits
    • Community patrols (foot, bike, Segway)
    • Assist with community response and canvassing
    • Support community events
    • Participate in RIDE programs
    • Perform driving observational surveys
    • Provide first aid
    • Beach Patrols
    • Canvass homeowners and businesses
    • Participate in parades and community events
    • Crime Prevention activities
    • High visibility patrols
    • Assist in Search & Rescue
    • Child Car Seat Clinics
    • CPTED Audits
    • Traffic Initiatives
